Pointe Shoe Size Guide
Ballet World highly recommends against purchasing any pointe shoes without an in-person fitting. Fittings are also recommended for additional purchases of pointe shoes as feet tend to change over time.
The data given below is only intended to indicate what size ranges are kept in stock, and not as a self-fitting diagnostic.
Actual comparative sizes between brands will vary from dancer to dancer.

Provisions to consider:
Last Type
This describes the shape or mould that the shoe's design is based around. Different lasts accomodate different feet in varying ways. This also means that while a dancer may take a particular size in one model, a different size may be necessary in another.
Materials and Construction
Some materials tend to be more elastic and accomodating than others. Shoes constructed with different materials and seams in differing areas may accomodate feet differently and therefore necessitate a change of size.
Inserts and Socks
If dancers make use of any foot accessories or socks of significant thickness, this can greatly change the overall shape and size of the foot.
Anatomical Characteristics
Dancers with particularly compressible feet or sensitive toes may find that their measured foot size differs from how their feet present when wearing a particular shoe. Most dancers also tend to have 2 differently sized feet, which is taken into consideration when fitting.
